Overview

Notion Clip (“we”) provides a browser extension and related services to help you save web content to Notion. This policy explains what information we process, for what purposes, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

• Account information: email and password hash (we do not store plaintext passwords).
• Session and auth: access tokens, refresh tokens, and related metadata.
• Notion authorization: OAuth tokens (stored encrypted) and the destination page information you select.
• Clipped content: page fragments, titles, source URLs, and images you submit when clipping, used to write into your Notion.
• Billing information: subscription status and identifiers returned by payment providers (such as Creem); card details are handled by the payment provider.
• Technical logs: limited operational data such as request time, IP, and error messages to keep the service reliable.

How we use information

• Provide account registration, sign-in, email verification, and password reset.
• Call the Notion API on your behalf to complete authorization and write clips.
• Process subscriptions and upgrades (Pro).
• Maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and improve product stability.

Sharing and third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to provide the service with:

• Notion: writing content into workspaces you authorize.
• Payment providers (Creem): processing subscription payments and webhook status sync.
• Email providers: sending verification and reset transactional emails.
• Infrastructure providers: hosting servers, databases, and logs.

Storage and security

Notion access tokens are stored encrypted. Traffic uses HTTPS. While we take reasonable measures, no internet transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.

Data retention

We retain related data while your account exists and as needed to provide the service. You may request account deletion; afterward we will delete or anonymize identifiable information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Browser extension permissions

The extension may request access to the current tab’s content, storage, and network permissions to read the regions you choose to clip, upload images, and talk to our API. We do not scrape your browsing history in the background.

Children’s privacy

This service is not directed at children under 13. If we learn we collected such information by mistake, we will delete it promptly.

Policy updates

We may update this policy and revise the “Last updated” date on this page. For material changes, we will notify you via the website or email where appropriate.
